A rich and indulgent French chocolate cake with a smooth, velvety ganache topping—perfect for chocolate lovers!

Ingredients:

For the Cake:

• 200g (7 oz) dark chocolate

• 150g (⅔ cup) unsalted butter

• 150g (¾ cup) sugar

• 3 large eggs

• 100g (¾ cup) all-purpose flour

For the Ganache:

• 150g (5 oz) dark chocolate

• 100ml (½ cup) heavy cream

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a round cake pan with parchment paper.

Melt the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and mix in the sugar.

Incorporate the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Gently fold in the flour until the batter is smooth.

Bake the cake by pouring the batter into the prepared pan and baking for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool completely.

Prepare the ganache by heating the heavy cream until hot (but not boiling), then pouring it over the chopped chocolate. Stir until smooth and glossy.

Assemble the cake by spreading the ganache over the cooled cake. Let it set before slicing and serving.

A decadent chocolate treat that’s rich, fudgy, and absolutely irresistible!
