Ingredients:
1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon grated ginger
1 red chili, finely chopped
1/2 cup bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 green onions, sliced
Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
Prepare the Beef: Toss the thinly sliced beef in cornstarch, ensuring each piece is evenly coated. Set aside.
Fry the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a wok or deep skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the beef slices in batches until crispy and golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per batch. Remove the beef from the oil and drain on paper towels.
Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
Stir-Fry: In the same wok, remove excess oil, leaving about 1 tablespoon. Add the chopped chili, bell pepper, and green onions. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until tender.
Combine: Pour the sauce into the wok and stir until it thickens slightly. Add the crispy beef back into the wok, tossing to coat in the sauce.
Serve: Serve hot with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
